Connectome’s archive — a provenance-first library of emission factors, where every value carries its source.
Soma is Connectome’s archive: a standardized, fully traced library of greenhouse-gas emission factors and the unit, fuel, and economic conversions needed to turn any activity into CO2e. It is curated from public agencies — EPA, DEFRA/DESNZ, IPCC, and others — and published as one canonical graph: units are the nodes; emission factors, conversions, fuel properties, and global-warming potentials are the edges. Every value carries its agency, dataset, version, release date, and exact location in the source file, alongside the verbatim source term — the same provenance discipline the consulting side of this practice sells.
The library spans all three GHG Protocol scopes, plus fuel properties, GWPs, unit conversions, and the currency-year bridges that real inventories quietly depend on. It is built by a deterministic pipeline, so a release can be rebuilt and checked rather than taken on trust; releases will ship cited and versioned. The Atlas will carry a Soma teaser — One factor, fully loaded, a single emission factor traced end to end — when it is ready.
Soma feeds Axon, the calculation engine that walks this graph.
