Antikythera

The practice’s system-dynamics engine — and, deliberately, not much more than this paragraph yet.

Antikythera is the working name for the system-dynamics side of this practice being built into something reusable: stocks, flows, and feedback — the modeling discipline behind the published SDG work — as tooling rather than one-off models. It is early — early enough that describing it in detail would violate the site’s own rule that nothing is described before it can be described honestly. The name borrows the ancient geared mechanism whose dials each predicted a cycle of a dynamic system; when this engine grows modules, they will take their names from those dials. When that changes, this page will grow the way Connectome’s did.
