Systems
The engines of the practice
The systems being built behind the practice, around one core discipline — provenance. One is in private beta; two are early; more are in the shop and will appear here when they're far enough along to describe honestly.
Connectome
The provenance-first carbon & sustainability data stack: Soma, the emission-factor archive, and Axon, the calculation engine (working beta: unitGPS), in private beta; Cortex in design.
Panthalassa
The practice’s AI lab — local models, auditable pipelines, and the verification gates behind the “AI you can audit” discipline. Early by design: described only as far as honesty allows, and grown as the work earns it.
In development · earlyAntikythera
The system-dynamics engine — stocks, flows, and feedback as reusable tooling rather than one-off models. Named for the ancient geared mechanism whose dials each predicted a cycle of a dynamic system.
These are the venture side of the practice. The other two engines — the consulting that runs today and the Atlas, the public knowledge engine — live on their own pages. The rule here is the same as everywhere on this site: nothing is described before it can be described honestly; more systems appear when they're ready.
The whole thing, as a graph
How it all connects
The practice is itself a system — engines, domains, capabilities, and projects held together by provenance. The systems map draws it live, as a force-directed graph you can explore; the Atlas pages on it open on click.
