Systems
The engines of the practice
Civitas Systems runs on a small set of engines around one core discipline — provenance. Two are public and live on this site; one is being built; more are in the shop and will appear here when they're far enough along to describe honestly.
Consulting
Commissioned, senior-led analysis across five domains — the engine that runs today. Every case study on this site traces to real engagements or published work.
LiveAtlas
The public knowledge engine — essays, interactive explorers, and reference, all on this site, all inspectable.
Private betaConnectome
The provenance-first carbon & sustainability data stack: Soma and Axon in private beta, Cortex in design.
Other engines are in the shop. The rule here is the same as everywhere on this site: nothing is described before it can be described honestly. Two of them — Panthalassa, the practice’s AI lab, and Tethys, the system-dynamics engine — now have first public notes; the rest will appear when they're ready.
The whole thing, as a graph
How it all connects
The practice is itself a system — engines, domains, capabilities, and projects held together by provenance. The systems map draws it live, as a force-directed graph you can explore; the Atlas pages on it open on click.
